Arts in Bushwick is an all-volunteer organization. From the producers who put together our festivals to the people who help us post fliers to make sure the community knows about our events, we are all lending our time.

We don’t require that the artists who participate in the festival donate a certain number of hours in order to show their work. For SITE Fest, we don’t even collect a registration fee. We provide performance hubs, printed maps and programs, and internal support thanks to the generous support of local art spaces, community organizations, businesses, and individuals. (Stay tuned for a SITE Fest Thanks page, coming soon!)

But we also need you.

Arts in Bushwick consistently requires new voices to add to our organizing pool. Whether your have two hours or two days to give us, there’s something you can add. Are you a photographer? Take pictures during SITE and add to our Flickr pool. Out on your bike a lot? Help put up a few event fliers. Looking to add to your portfolio? Give us a hand with web or graphic design.

Check out our new page, SITE Fest Needs, for volunteer opportunities. Don’t see something that strikes your fancy? Let us know what might work better for you by emailing our volunteer coordinator, Blake Morris. We’re always looking for new ideas for support.

SITE also hosts open meetings every Tuesday from 7 – 8 PM. Come say hi, meet other participating artists and community members, say hello to the organizing team, share your thoughts and ideas. Let us know what you can add. We’re really looking forward to meeting you.
